Verification and Privacy

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information, your information is protected both online and offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers and servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment. All documents are kept confidential, and are shredded and disposed securely.

For security and privacy reasons, IPF does not make public names or other details of individual members.

However, because of forgery and the necessity to mitigate risk of usurpation of identity in case of theft and other fraud, IPF has put in place a system of verification on its International Press Card it issues to its members to provide instant confirmation that the bearer is a working journalist and an IPF member.

IPF online verification system!

The IPF online verification system provides current status of press pass and the IPF membership. Trade show organizers, press agencies, event organizers, and providers of favorable conditions for the press can make an online search in order to verify whether accredited media professionals are officially registered with IPF.
